Norwalk, CT—August 25, 2025— The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) has a new addition to its Emerging Issues Task Force (EITF). Say hello to Angie Storm, KPMG's Chief Accountant. FASB Chair Richard R. Jones couldn't be happier about this fresh face joining the team.

🔄 Changing of the Guard
Angie Storm is stepping into the shoes of Robert Malhotra, who’s moved on to a new role within KPMG. Malhotra was no stranger to the EITF, being a charter member of the newly reconstituted task force.
“As a previous EITF alumnus and charter member of our recently reconstituted EITF, Robert Malhotra played a key role in supporting its successful transition to new operating procedures and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our interpretative process,” added Mr. Jones.
Malhotra's departure marks the end of an era, but his contributions have paved the way for a smoother, more efficient task force.

The EITF isn't just a fancy name; it has a crucial mission: to assist the FASB in improving financial reporting. The task force focuses on identifying and developing solutions for narrowly scoped financial accounting issues within the framework of the FASB Accounting Standards Codification®.
