🤖 The Task Force Takes Off

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is diving headfirst into the world of artificial intelligence with the launch of a new task force. This initiative aims to harness the power of AI to boost innovation and efficiency across the agency. Leading the charge is Valerie Szczepanik, newly appointed as the SEC’s Chief AI Officer.

Recognizing the transformative potential of AI, the SEC’s AI Task Force will accelerate AI integration to bolster the SEC’s mission. The task force will centralize efforts and enable internal cross-agency and cross-disciplinary collaboration to navigate the AI lifecycle, remove barriers to progress, focus on AI applications that maximize benefits, and maintain governance.

“The AI Task Force will empower staff across the SEC with AI-enabled tools and systems to responsibly augment the staff’s capacity, accelerate innovation, and enhance efficiency and accuracy,” said SEC Chairman Paul S. 🎓 Meet Valerie Szczepanik

Valerie Szczepanik is no stranger to innovation. Previously the Director of the SEC’s Strategic Hub for Innovation and Financial Technology, she has an impressive background in digital assets and innovation. With a JD from Georgetown University and a BS in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, Szczepanik is well-equipped to lead this new initiative.
