It’s a new dawn at the SEC with Acting Chairman Mark T. Uyeda at the helm. And he’s not sailing this ship solo. Enter Natalia Díez Riggin, the newly appointed Senior Advisor and Acting Director of the Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs.

🏛️ From the Halls of Congress
Riggin isn’t just any hire; she’s a Capitol Hill veteran. Before joining the SEC, she served as a Senior Professional Staff Member on the U.S. Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs for Chairman Tim Scott of South Carolina. Add to that her stints as Deputy Legislative Director for U.S. Senator John Kennedy and Staff Director for the Economic Policy Subcommittee.
Her career's early chapters are just as impressive, with roles as a policy aide to Senators Mike Enzi and Mark Kirk. Seems like Riggin’s been prepping for this SEC role for quite some time.

Riggin’s academic background is as solid as her professional one. She holds a B.A. in political science and history from the University of Illinois Chicago. Not just book smart, she’s also politically savvy, a potent combination for someone stepping into a high-stakes advisory role.
